their saviour to the ones whose effects are fast, we are like God sent. Even
though, we are not angels but humans and what we do is to help people stay
healthy and in shape.
Huge, fat and big tummy
people working tirelessly on the weight plate and the abdominal bench, some
with head set, sweating profusely and wiping at it with their hand towels.
Men with skinny biceps and triceps, and those
with huge body physique working continuously on the chin up and hyper extension
bench with hope of getting a bulging one.
“Most customers come
because they have tummy fat or weigh excess, why for some they want bulging
muscles” Kayode Adelani, 26, Gym instructor.
Kayode Adelani a graduate
of Physical Health Education in the University of Lagos has been working at
Lotus Fitness and Head about five years ago, while the Gyming centre was
established in 2009.
“Two years ago when I got
here, I looked like a potato sack; I weigh 99kg for the love of God! But now I
weigh 60kg” Mrs Akpan.
Oladipupo Micheal a
health practitioner from St Nicholas Hospital, Lagos Island said physical
exercise is any bodily activity that enhances or maintains physical fitness and
overall health and wellness. Frequent and regular exercise boosts the immune
system and helps prevent heart diseases, obesity and cardiovascular disease.

services like personal training, gym classes, aerobics, cardio and more to
customer.
“We do not just employ
anyone as a gym instructors, they must have done a course like Physical Health
Education in school or go through our intense one year training” Mrs Adeniyi Juliet,
Manager Lotus Fitness and Health.

Nigerian institute of journalism ogba, held its annual
student week on Monday in the school compound. Monday which happens to be the
first day of the event featured several artists like Lil-kesh, Adekunle Gold,
Funny bone, Eminic among others.
The event was co-hosted by Kemi Smalls of City FM and MIC of
Cool FM who is also an HND II student of the school.
Although, there where dance performances from different
dance groups, Ay Rubber and Kenny Rubber and there was also a “Shakiti bobo”
competition where the winner an ND 1 student of the school won a recharge card.
However, the event on Monday ended with the performance of
Lil-kesh which later resulted in a fight as it was learnt that some students
were tasking this artist for money.
A lecturer of the school Mr Akin Ojo and the deputy provost
Mr Jide Johnson however, settled the issue at Area G police station.
Their voice so strong it could be heard in heaven, it was a
peaceful war of difference. Even though, heavens were hard on them with a heavy
downpour, the change they wanted was their strength. It was such a scenario for
Nigerians on the 28th of March, 2015 during the Presidential
election.
“To whom a lot was given, much is expected” Mr Aderonbi
