THE AFTERMATH OF NIGERIAN ELECTION



Their voice so strong it could be heard in heaven, it was a peaceful war of difference. Even though, heavens were hard on them with a heavy downpour, the change they wanted was their strength. It was such a scenario for Nigerians on the 28th of March, 2015 during the Presidential election.
“To whom a lot was given, much is expected” Mr Aderonbi Rahmon. Some believed him to be the devil, which has come again to torment them.
“Have not seen anything good in the man and I can’t say if he will rule like a military man again” Victoria Olubi.
President Elect General Mohammed Buhari and Jonathan
General Muhammad Buhari, 72 years who had been the head of state in Nigeria between the year 1983-1985, won the 29th May 2015 election into the Presidential office. To most Nigerians he is the element of change they have been waiting for based on his past record as the head of state.
“Based on what have heard, I think General Buhari is the change we have been waiting for” Balogun Adedamola. Major concern of most is for the new President to fulfil all his campaign promises.
“I will like for him to keep his promises” Balogun Adedamola.
General Buhari contested under the All Progressive Congress for March 2015 election, when he takes over office on the 29th of May, it will be the first peaceful transfer of power to an elected leader of the opposition in the history of Nigeria.
“President Jonathan is really a great man for conducting a free and fair election and also accepting defeat to an opposition party” Ayamolowo Jumoke
